Bing team invites any developers who are 14 years or older to participate in this contest. Worldwide developers can join, except developers who live in Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria. The grand prize is $1,000 USD.
Developers can use Bing Maps tools to create a useful application. They must submit their app by July 25. Later on, a team of experts and judges will determine the winners and to be announced on August 20, 2010.
As per Bing Maps contest website, here is a list of requirements:
• You are at least 14 years of age or older and are a professional or proficient IT Developer; and
PLEASE NOTE: If you are considered a minor in your place of residence, you should ask your parent or legal guardian’s permission prior to entering;
• You are NOT a resident of any of the following countries: Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan, and Syria.
PLEASE NOTE: U.S. export regulations prohibit the export of goods and services to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Sudan and Syria. Therefore residents of these countries / regions are not eligible to participate.
• You are NOT an employee of Microsoft Corporation or an employee of a Microsoft subsidiary; and
• You are NOT involved in any part of the administration and execution of this Contest; and
• You are NOT an immediate family (parent, sibling, spouse, child) or household member of a Microsoft employee, an employee of a Microsoft subsidiary, or a person involved in any part of the administration and execution of this Contest.
