The Search Alliance Bing and Yahoo gained shares while the world’s largest search engine dropped to below 65% shares for the first time since September 2009. According to comScore dataset, the combo Bing and Yahoo captured a total of 31.0% search engine market shares in August 2011, compared to July which was at 30.5% shares (an increase of 0.5% shares).
Bing’s August search engine market share increased to 14.7% shares from 14.4% shares in July, or an increase of 0.3% shares.
Yahoo Search powered by Bing increased a little bit to 16.3% shares from 16.1% shares in July, or an increase of 0.2% shares.
Google's search engine market shares in America dropped to below 65% for the first time since September 2009, as per comScore. The giant search engine’s August market share dropped to 64.8% shares from 65.1% shares in July (a drop of 0.3%).
