About 88,000 to 90,000 Microsoft employees around the world (about 53,000 of them in America) including a couple of thousands men and women for Bing division will get free Windows Phone 7 devices as they will be available in October. The announcement was made by Andy Lees, Sr. VP of Mobile Communication Business during Microsoft Global Experience (MGX) conference in Atlanta on Wednesday. The news about these free gadgets was first tweeted and re-tweeted by Microsoft insider Mary Jo Foley.
While all employees will get the free device with a market value at around $200, they still have to pay for the service plan with data plan at about $50 per month.
Windows Phone 7 has gained many interesting reviews by tech reseachers and bloggers as the software is now shipped to mobile developers.
