As AOL search agreement with Google will expire in about six months, the most popular email and ISP providers during the 1990s era with a famous tagline "You've Got Mail," has started to find a new partner for its search. As wsj.com wrote “… [AOL] kicked off talks last week with multiple potential partners to secure a new Web-search deal.” Although to extend its current deal with Google would be the easiest way to do business, however, many Wall Street and tech watchers have speculated that the other major player in this talk is Bing.
With about 2.5% to 3% of America search market share, adding AOL could help Bing to grab extra few percentages search share, in addition to its approved search alliance with Yahoo. Every little bit of percentage increase in search market share helps in Bing's fight with giant Google in America.
