Bing’s Double Cashback program which started on August 10 has run out cash limit by August 27. The program has ended about four days ahead of its original schedule which supposedly to end on August 30.
The program has drawn so many online shoppers to Bing’s partners, especially the limited time back-to-school promotion which gave shoppers a chance to receive 50% off on many types of merchandise.
As reported by internetretailer.com, “several retailers reported large spikes in traffic from consumers taking advantage of the double cashback offer, in which the retailer offered a rebate and Bing, Microsoft’s new search engine, matched it.”
The promotion has taken a big chunk of cash out of Bing’s budget, as techcrunch.com put it “over a million dollars in sales each day, with Microsoft footing much of the bill, that’s a nice deal.”
